Upcoming events
May 13–15: ISV 2024, Porto
We are participating in the 15th International Symposium on Variants in the Genome, in the enchanting city of Porto. Taking place from May 13–15, this biennial conference focuses on cutting-edge developments for scanning, sequencing, databasing, bioinformatics analysis of variants in DNA, RNA, and protein, and on the importance of the effect of the variants on the health of an individual. This symposium will also give special emphasis to the capabilities and methods for functional testing and classification of genomic variants related to disease. We look forward to meeting you all in Porto!
June 1–4: ESHG 2024, Berlin
We are exhibiting at the 57th European Human Genetics Conference (ESHG), that will take place in the vibrant city of Berlin this year. The conference is a unique opportunity to meet, share results, build scientific projects and collaborations, and get inspired in the human genetics field.
As exhibitors, we invite you to our booth#562 for a personal demo of our varvis® software and engage with us in an interesting varvis® corporate satellite on June 1st, from 12.00 to 13.30 p.m. in room “New York 1”. We are looking forward to an exciting meeting.
September 30- October 2: VEPTC 2024, Palermo
Mark your calendar for the Variant Effect Prediction Training Course (VEPTC2024), that takes place from September 30 to October 2 in the beautiful city of Palermo! The course combines science sessions and practical workshops, to enhance participants’ understanding of genome informatics tools, sources for variant interpretation, and methods to improve the quality of genetic diagnostic processes. Learn with us about new and established tools and methods in NGS.
October 2–4: SIGU 2024, Padua
Our team is set to participate in the XXVII congress of the Italian Society of Human Genetics (SIGU), from the 2nd to the 4th of October 2024, in Padua, Italy. They will be three days full of enriching workshops, symposia, inspiring conversations, and exchanges relating to the disciplines of Human Genetics in Italy. Take the opportunity to engage with our expert team and learn more about our varvis® software.
And last, but not least, we will hold our varvis® usergroup meeting in November. We are looking forward to giving an exclusive sneak preview of upcoming new features and to an open discussion with our customers. January 09–12: Assises de Génétique Humaine et Médicale 2024, Paris
Kickstarting the year, the varvis® team participated at the largest French conference in human genetics, the Assises de Génétique Humaine et Médicale in Paris. A highlight of our participation was the successful lunch symposium on January 10th about “Trouver une aiguille dans une botte de foin: filtrer les variants avec varvis®” with exciting insights into the varvis® software and interesting, rare disease cases from clinical practice that have been analyzed using whole exome sequencing, presented by our guest speaker, Prof. Depienne from the University of Essen.
